South Sudanese singer Silver X on a LIVE interview with Stella, has dropped some cutting words for fellow artists who, according to him, are “living a lie.” Known for speaking his mind, Silver X took to social media to call out musicians who pretend to live lavish lifestyles, flaunt fake success, and even buy fake streams to inflate their popularity.
“Some of these guys show off fancy cars, designer clothes, and piles of cash,” he said, “but it’s all borrowed, rented, or photoshopped. It’s like they’re actors playing a role.” He pointed out that some artists go as far as purchasing fake online streams to look successful, while in reality, they’re struggling to pay their bills. “The energy they put into creating a fake life could be better spent on their art,” he quipped.
Silver X’s words have sparked a lot of conversation, with fans and industry insiders chiming in on how harmful this “fake it till you make it” culture is, especially for younger artists just entering the scene. To them, he added, “Stay true to yourself and work hard; the real fans will respect you for it.”
