Ashley Darby offends RHOP newbie Stacey Rusch.
“Real Housewives of Potomac” star Ashley Darby is no stranger to rubbing new hires the wrong way. During the recent episode, Ashley and Gizelle Bryant planned a charity event. Gizelle wanted to raise funds for the National Brain Tumor Society. Her father recently passed away from brain cancer. So when Stacey Rusch, Mia Thornton, and Jassi Rideaux arrived late; Gizelle had security escort them out. As a result, the ladies were offended. To top it off, Gizelle then sent Ashley to collect donations from the guests she had just kicked out of the event. Ashley’s actions weren’t received well. At one point, Jassi even had some words for Ashley. Now it’s looking as if Stacey will be next.
During a previous episode, Stacey opened up to Ashley about a new man in her life. She also confirmed they haven’t been intimate due to his religious beliefs. He wants to wait for marriage.
On the upcoming episode of RHOP, Gizelle asks Stacey about her marital status. In a preview, Stacey tells Gizelle about her divorce.
She says, “So I have been married for 16 years. And I have a beautiful, amazing daughter Arabella, who’s 8 years old. And I’m recently going through a divorce, unfortunately. In the 16 years we were together, we sort of lost each other.”
Gizelle responds, “So do you want the divorce? It sounds like you’re sad about it. When I was getting to the end of the road, I was happy.”
Stacey answers, “I’m not ever going to be happy about a divorce.”
Ashley interjects, “She has a new friend.”
Stacey Rusch says Ashley Darby isn’t the person she thought she was.
Stacey did not appreciate Ashley telling her business for her.
“Ashley, I have spent multiple days with you at my home talking about my marriage, my children.”
Wendy Osefo playfully adds, “And what she do?”
Stacey says, “She came here over charcuterie and drinks and just spilled all my business.”
Ashley wonders where she went wrong, “Is this a secret?”
Stacey is over it, “Ashley, I am so cautious because I’m talking about the mental health of my daughter. I’m not ashamed of my friend. I’m ashamed of the way you brought it to this table.”
Ashley goes on to tell Stacey that she didn’t know that Stacey wanted to tell people individually.
In a green screen interview, Stacey says Ashley isn’t who she thought she was.
“Ashley is really surprising me. She’s not the person that I thought she was.”
As for Ashley, she reiterated that she didn’t think telling Gizelle about Stacey’s new man was a violation.
“I didn’t even know TJ was a bean to spill! The way it was conveyed to me, you just had a friend. She talks about Vivienne all the time. If TJ’s just a friend like Vivienne, then what’s the big deal? Why not just say his name?”
